    • Daniel R. Pascale, CPP
      Chief Executive Officer

      Daniel R. Pascale, CPP, is a board-certified security and emergency management professional with more than 25 years of experience as a practitioner, consultant, instructor, trainer, keynote speaker, author, and volunteer leader. As CEO of COSECURE, Daniel is responsible for setting the overall strategic consulting and business development strategies including lateral acquisition and identification of emerging markets. Daniel manages a team of security professionals, former federal, state, and local law enforcement leaders, and military and emergency management officials with unparalleled skills in physical security, cybersecurity and compliance, emergency preparedness, and business continuity. Prior to leading COSECURE, for more than a decade, Daniel served as a partner and later Executive Vice President of Margolis Healy and Associates (now The Healy+ Group) where he was responsible for developing consulting strategies and business development initiatives, and led the security and emergency management practice areas. 

    • Zachary Hockin
      Director, Client Engagement

      Zachary Hockin helps small business clients choose the right cybersecurity services for their organizations. He is passionate about educating clients on the increasingly complex cybersecurity industry. With 20 years of experience in the manufacturing and distribution industries, Zachary also served as a Vice President of Sales Operations in the training services industry, helping small and mid-size business owners and operators, educators, health professionals, and security leaders.

    • Lynnette Espy-Williams
      Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, Cozen O'Connor

      Lynnette Espy-Williams is a Member at Cozen O'Connor and serves as the firm's Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer. She has experience in litigating a wide variety of civil and commercial matters, including matters pertaining to mass and complex torts, professional liability, premises liability, product liability, contract disputes, and extracontractual disputes, including defending bad faith claims. Lynnette has extensive experience in defending many high-exposure product liability and premises liability matters. With respect to product liability cases, Lynnette routinely represents manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of allegedly defective products in negligence actions stemming from allegations, including, but not limited to, failure to warn, breach of implied and express warranties, and any other theory in tort or contract.

    • Brian Gillam
      Chief Operating Officer, Ancillary Business Units, Cozen O'Connor

      Brian Gillam is the Chief Operating Officer of Cozen O’Connor’s ancillary business units, one of which is COSECURE. With almost three decades of experience, Brian aligns his work as a chief information security officer, chief information officer, and chief financial officer with his foundational knowledge as a software engineer at Lexis-Nexis to bring a full spectrum of guidance to COSECURE. Brian holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a post-masters certificate in accounting and tax from Drexel University, and a B.S. from Brigham Young University.

       

    • Terry Kufen
      Chief Information Officer, Cozen O'Connor

      Terry Kufen spearheads computer and information technology for COSECURE. With over 25 years of handling information technology systems, Terry applies his hands-on experience to all aspects of technology from networking and security, systems development, disaster recovery, privacy/security, and risk/governance. Terry holds a B.S. in computer science, M.S. in information sciences, is an accredited and active CISSP, and a certified IS27001 Lead Implementer.

       

    • Trevor McGuinness
      Director, Ancillary Business Development, Cozen O'Connor

      Trevor McGuinness is the Director of Ancillary Business Development at Cozen O'Connor and is responsible for organic growth and growth by acquisition for all of the firm’s ancillary business units.  Trevor’s expansive background includes serving as a principal at Hector Street, a hedge fund focused on systematic trading opportunities. His background also includes working as an analyst in portfolio management and as an Associate in financial planning and analysis for FS Investments, guiding the development of proprietary business-critical software and transition from legacy systems. Trevor holds a B.S. in science, technology, and society from the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts & Sciences. Before college, he played on the professional squash circuit in Europe and served as the Director of Community Engagement with SquashSmarts, an urban youth enrichment program.

    • Robert L. Evans
      Director, K-12 Services

      Robert L. Evans specializes in safety, security, and emergency preparedness for public, private, and independent K-12 schools and school districts. Robert’s executive law enforcement and military experience provides a unique background to offer clients a wide range of specialized services that include school safety planning, training and exercise support, emergency management consultation, Immediate Action Response Training, Emergency Operations Plan development, litigation consultation, and special investigations/independent reviews. Robert has worked with public and private schools across the country to enhance their existing safety and security planning efforts and assist in the development and implementation of future school safety initiatives.

    • Ronald Menold
      Director, Cybersecurity Services

      Dr. Ronald Menold brings deep knowledge gathered during his 24-year career as a Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Ronald was the Director of the New Jersey Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (NJRCFL) for seven years, where he also served as an FBI-certified Digital Forensic Examiner and an FBI Certified Laboratory Director. While at the FBI, Ronald was on the Field Engineering Board and helped design one of the largest operational computer networks used by the FBI on a daily basis. Ronald holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from (ISC)2 and EC-Council respectively. He also holds multiple SANS/GIAC certifications including GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), and GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM). Due to his exemplary performance on the certification examinations, Ronald is also a member of the invitation-only GIAC Advisory Board. Ronald earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and a doctorate in computer and information security. He is also an adjunct professor, teaching graduate classes in digital forensics at a well-regarded U.S. university.

    • Fran Mozgai, CPP
      Director, Physical Security Services

      Fran Mozgai, CPP, assists clients in various industries with physical security assessments to implement best practices in areas such as security technology, access control and visitor management, and emergency communications. Fran previously served on the Hillsborough Police Department, an accredited law enforcement agency in central New Jersey, retiring after serving more than 25 years. He most recently held the rank of Captain and served as the agency's Operations Commander. Fran served in supervisory and command-level positions for 14 years and has supervised a multitude of units at his agency, including patrol, investigations, community policing, training, and internal affairs. He has also been a police academy in-service instructor.

    • Dawn Romano
      Director, Risk and Audit

      Dawn Romano assesses governance and regulatory compliance. She makes sure that a company’s risk meets any regulatory requirements while facilitating successful adoption of policies. With over 30 years of experience in internal and external audit and risk management, Dawn draws upon her experience as a consultant with Big 4 firms and as part of organizations in the financial, healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, retail, legal, and utilities industries. Dawn holds an M.B.A. in management, B.A. in computer science and mathematics, and a CISA certification.  

    • Martin F. Spellacy, MS-EM, CEM
      Associate

      Martin Spellacy, MS-EM, CEM, has over 20 years of emergency management experience in planning and responding to a wide range of natural and man-made events. He has operated at the state and local levels with specialties in civil-military support, countering weapons of mass destruction (WMD), Emergency Operations Center management, and HSEEP training. While on active duty with the Massachusetts National Guard, he commanded the 1st Civil Support Team, where he was responsible for the unit's readiness to respond to potential WMD threats. Upon completing his tour, he was appointed Director of Military Support for the Massachusetts National Guard and assigned to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, where he helped coordinate military support in response to various events, including the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Upon retirement from the Army, he served as the Deputy Director for Training and Exercise for the Arlington, Virginia, Office of Emergency Management. He then returned to Massachusetts in 2020 to serve as interim Director of Emergency Management at Tufts University. In 2021, he was selected to be part of the State of Florida Program Management Team to develop and implement the COVID-19 mobile vaccine program. He then served as a special consultant for implementing the Enterprise Risk Management program at the University of Massachusetts.

    • Lee Conquest
      Manager, Security Operations

      Lee Conquest oversees critical strategic and operational functions for COSECURE. He has over 20 years of experience in information technology, including security engineering, network and telephony engineering and security, system and storage administration, and CITRIX administration. Lee applies strong practices in security engineering and architecture to a myriad of different technologies and technical disciplines, including disaster planning and recovery and data privacy/protection. He holds a B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University in management science and information systems and is a certified and active CISSP. 

       

    • James Clark
      Senior Risk & Audit Analyst

      James Clark directs risk management initiatives while establishing, implementing, and enhancing key information security objectives and control frameworks that maximize productivity. He brings over 15 years of information technology experience, with 11 of those years in IT security including risk and governance and SecOps. James’s background includes working for multiple Fortune 500 companies across the financial, technology, consulting, and outsourcing industries, to name just a few. James holds a B.S. in information technology with a concentration in Network Security, a CompTIA Security+ Certification, and an ISO 27001 Foundation Certification.

    • Joseph Allen, CEM, MPA
      Senior Associate

      Joseph Allen, CEM, MPA, is responsible for servicing clients in emergency management and security operations. His responsibilities include campus emergency management initiatives, like the development of all-hazard emergency operations plans, hazard and vulnerability assessments, discussion and operations-based exercises, and emergency management training. Joseph was previously a planner and trainer for the New Jersey State Police Office of Emergency Management. There, he was responsible for writing plans and procedures for the New Jersey State Emergency Operations Center and providing training to representatives from all state departments specific to their roles during a disaster. He also delivered emergency management training and exercise programs to county, municipal, and private sector agencies throughout the state. Joseph is an instructor and trainer for the internet-based E-Team incident management system, which is utilized by the State of New Jersey.

    • Michael Kwiatkowski
      Senior Associate

      Michael Kwiatkowski serves as the Executive Director for Campus Safety within the University of Chicago’s Department of Safety and Security. In his role, Michael is responsible for operational oversight of campus safety which includes technology services, security systems, charter school security, contract security operations, and compliance. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Deputy Chief for the University of Chicago Police Department. As Deputy Chief, Michael was responsible for the patrol, special operations, and support services divisions. The University of Chicago Police Department is a CALEA-accredited agency with 100 sworn officers providing services to the University of Chicago’s main campus, medical center, and surrounding communities.

    • Jonathan Lacey
      Senior Associate

      Jonathan Lacey retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2018 after serving as a Special Agent for over 21 years. His FBI experience includes active shooter survival training, hostage negotiation, crisis management, mobile surveillance, firearms, and undercover operations. He has led complex, long-term public corruption and counterintelligence investigations, and has received numerous awards for his contributions to national security and public safety. He has deployed to support FBI investigations of domestic and international terrorists, and in response to mass shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and San Bernardino, California. His last position in the FBI was as the Crisis Manager, Training Coordinator, and Active Shooter Coordinator for the FBI’s Buffalo Field Office.

    • Michael Cruz, CPP
      Associate

      Michael Cruz, CPP, is a physical security expert with 16 years of experience in the security industry. He began his career as an installation technician serving Greater Philadelphia and quickly established greater responsibilities, supervising 20 technicians installing and repairing residential and commercial alarm systems. He has led and performed a wide range of services including designing and engineering security systems for large commercial clients, and combining various systems into one cohesive protection platform. An expert in physical security, Michael has collaborated on extensive projects with stakeholders where he has conducted security assessments around universities.

    • Gloria Graham
      Associate

      Gloria Graham has 24 years of public-safety-related experience for Tier 1 public and private research institutions with world-class medical facilities and Division I National Championship NCAA athletic teams. She has special event planning expertise for facilities with a capacity of more than 100,000 persons and high-profile dignitaries including the President of the United States. She's had budget planning and oversight responsibilities greater than $15 million, led vendor and collective bargaining contract negotiations and oversight, and overseen strategic planning, data analysis, and results-driven accountability metrics. She has a bachelors in criminal justice studies, master’s in leadership development, and extensive experience in change management and process improvement. She is a graduate of the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command.

    • Patrick Kinner
      Associate

      Patrick Kinner has more than 10 years of experience helping organizations collect high-quality data to improve their services and share their successes. He holds a vast background working with large health systems, state public health offices, and innovative entrepreneurs and organizations to improve systems and services across the human service spectrum. Every passionate and committed organization has a gap between what they hope to accomplish and what they actually accomplish. As an evaluation consultant, Patrick identifies those gaps to collect data to understand the causes and help use that data to change minds and turn heads. This can take the form of small-scale internal evaluation projects or long-term research efforts to test, validate, and publish theories of change. His work has been instrumental in helping organizations secure additional funding and partnerships, and in making major structural changes in initiatives when necessary. 

    • Stephen Molinelli, CPP
      Senior Associate

      Stephen Molinelli, CPP, is an Emergency Management Specialist with the Office of Emergency Management at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. His career at Rutgers spans more than a decade where Stephen has served in various roles of increasing responsibility including security operations, security systems and technology, and emergency management. Stephen was an integral part in creating and supervising one of the largest, most innovative, uniformed student security programs in the country. Stephen served as Chairman of the Central Jersey Chapter of ASIS International from 2012-2014 and is currently the Assistant Regional Vice President. He also served as President of the NJ College and University Public Safety Association (NJCUPSA) from 2013-2014. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Rutgers University and is board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

    • Jason Destein, MSCJ
      Consultant

      Jason Destein, MSCJ, is an industry-recognized and trusted physical security and violence prevention subject matter expert with over 26 years of private sector security experience working in Fortune 500 organizations as an end user, integrator, and security consultant. Throughout his career, he has provided leadership at all levels while innovating new approaches and methods in the security industry. Jason’s past responsibilities include security system design and analysis, loss prevention, site assessments, threat assessment, security budget development, and training. Jason is responsible for multiple large-scale enterprise-level security platforms to some of the United States's largest educational institutions, as well as foreign consulates located across the nation.

    • Nicole Ertl
      Administrative Assistant

      Nicole Ertl brings a strong background in both public safety and K-12 education. She is passionate about supporting the mission to create safer environments that nurture learning and productivity. Early in her career, she served with Milwaukee Police Department as the Liaison for the Public Information Office and the Aide to the Office of the Police Chief. Nicole also worked as an Emergency Telecommunicator for the County of Waukesha, Wisconsin. For the past 10 years, she has worked in the K-12 sector, serving in various administrative support roles for the Franklin Public School District and the Mukwonago Area School District. Nicole lives in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. She has a daughter (17 years old) and a son (15 years old) who are the light of her life. 

    • Andrea M. Perkins
      Operations Coordinator

      Andrea Perkins began her professional career as a clinical radiation oncology therapist at the Medical College of Georgia and the Miami Cancer Institute. In her previous role as a Lead Specialist and Coordinator, Andrea focused on strategic implementation, clinical efficiencies, and process development. At the Miami Cancer Institute, she collaborated and implemented processes across various dynamic teams, including a team of over 50 employees, servicing more than 200 patients daily. Andrea received her Bachelor of Radiologic Science with a specialty in Radiation Oncology Therapy and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare College Executives.

    • Denise Nichols Sanders
      Client Relations Coordinator

      Denise Nichols Sanders graduated from the Honors Scholars Program at Roosevelt University in 2004 with a degree in business management. She cares deeply about providing outstanding support to those doing the important work COSECURE engages in and is passionate about social justice. Denise is an administrative professional with a background in assisting at the executive level and she posesses a wealth of experience in operations, process management, accounts payable, hospitality and events, team building, and volunteer requisition, compliance, and care. Her most recent work was as a Facilities Management Administrator for Willow Creek Community Church and its seven campuses. She has also been a community pastor in that church, a role she continues now as a volunteer. Denise and her husband, Mark, live in West Dundee, Illinois, and have four daughters aged twenty-seven, fifteen, twelve, and four, and has four grandchildren, along with several rescue animals.
